Taylor Texas is a quaint community located about 29 miles north east of Austin within Williamson County.  It has many historical homes and is an up and coming community that is currently considered affordable.  The current population was 13,575 at the 2000 census; it was 15,191 at the 2010 census.  Taylor's largest employers include the Electric Reliability Council, Durcon Inc., Burrows Cabinets and T.
